Introduction
Established in October 1978 with the objective to train professional civil engineers, the department seeks to play a major role in contributing to the development in the industry. The department consists of the following academic areas: Structural Engineering, Hydraulics, Soil Engineering, Foundation Engineering, Concrete Engineering, Survey Engineering, and Sanitary Engineering. With the academic focus of promoting students' in-class participation and active performance, the department offers a wide variety of class formats including seminars, independent research activities, and multimedia education, as well as experimental practices. The department continues to be proud to offer its students a well-balanced education and in turn, to witness a high employment rate among our graduate students. With our state-of-the-art experimental equipment and facilities, students in our curriculum are able to cultivate professional knowledge and understanding in the field.

Civil Engineering is a science and study that contributes to the development in social welfare and helps to create a better living environment for all. To continue to achieve these goals, the society needs professional civil engineers who can efficiently deal with various issues related to this field The department's goals include future-oriented education, community service, and a specialized curriculum that integrates our educational goals between different majors. Finally, we encourage our students by setting expectations high. Thus, the department aims to train competent and experienced civil engineer with leadership skills in creative planning and designing, as well as successfully executing civil engineering projects.
